HOW TO GET TO: SHORTER FAMILY TRIPS

OBJECTIVES OF SITE

Paved paths in Canmore  leading up to Silver Tip Golf Course

CANMORE & KANANASKIS

REQUIRES NO NATIONAL PARK PASS AND FROM CALGARY IS MAXIMUM 120 KM TO MOST LOCATIONS.

THIS MEANS YOU CAN SAVE MONEY! (ESPECIALLY  IF YOU PACK A LUNCH.)

A map is also a must for you to find your way around the many locations described on my site.

You can  download maps through the internet as long as you tell the search engine the park, the province, and the town or city that the location is near by.

CLOSING THE DEAL

CONVINCING YOUR FAMILY TO GO FOR A SHORT HIKE IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS:

Through my photoadventures site show the family what is at the end of the hike. Every site I have chosen has a lake, river, tree, or glacial rock formation.

Tell them that some of the locations are less than an hour's drive away. Explain to your  family that with a little walking, an adventure awaits them.

As your family gets more used to getting in the car on the weekend, they will have more fun with walking, playing beside creeks or discovering certain plants and animals during the different seasons.

To give your family an added incentive to leave Calgary go occasional  to a restaurant for lunch or dinner  in Canmore, Banff, or an other small center.  Perhaps you might choose an overnight stay during off  season months.

The last step will involve your own research  to discover new adventures for your family either on your own or with the help of the following hiking books.

The Best hikes in the Rockies do not necessarily mean that  a beautiful stream,  a spectacular waterfall or animal life is at the end of the walk

free family outings!

I was able to shoot this Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep on Dec 14/2002   in Kananskis Country.

Please take the time to look at the site below and see what the Provincial Government is planning to do with this area.

I have created this site to educate the public on the following objectives:

To help preserve and protect our most important asset, our National Parks and wildlife.

To help families throughout North America understand the purpose of doing activities together.

To promote greenhouse products that create a byproduct of water.

To educate novice and professional photographers on what to look for when taking scenery or wildlife shots while hiking in the Rockies.
