| STRENUOUS 1.0 KM OR 2.2KM ONE WAY 500M *BEARS IN AREA MOST OF SEASON* |
| LESSON -Bring essentials only including light camera for the steep but short climb to park bench. |

| This is a great short walk but you have to be in good shape and awake. It starts as a nice walk steadily uphill through the trees. Soon it becomes very rocky and at times you will be on your hands and knees scrambling to the park bench where you will be able to see panorama views of Upper Lake and Lower Lake. After taking pictures you will find the path down quite easy but take your time because of all the loose rock. |
| I strongly recommend you do not go on to the next view point
unless the path is dry and you don't mind heights. Beyond 2.2 km from
start of trail novice hikers have been killed due to loose rock.
NEXT TIME - It would have been nice to come early in the morning for the best wide angle shots. |
