This lake is just a few kilometers east of the continental divide.  The lake is 2.7 km long, 30m deep and 366m wide.  It is the tenth largest lake in Banff National Park. Some of the trees are 30m high and the rocks were created from quartz-rich sediments deposited in prehistoric seas during the early Cambrian period. 

This day hike is a 10 km round trip.
